Notes: "Once upon a
time there was a naughty little
schoolboy. He and his gang were
always playing tricks on the
teachers and bullying other children
in the school. One day he got
himself into very serious trouble
with a naughty schoolgirl and he was
sent to the Headmaster who decided
to disgrace the naughty boy and his
gang in front of the whole school.
After this punishment the boy
turned into a hard and bitter
character. Perhaps it was not the
punishment that changed him but the
fact that he realized people in
authority would always be there to
kick him down and the Establishment
would always put him in his place.
He knew that he could not change the
past but he vowed that in the future
he would always get what he wanted.
The naughty little boy grew
up...into Mr. Flash."
This Time
Tomorrow
Written by:
Ray Davies This time
tomorrow where will we be On a
spaceship somewhere sailing across
an empty sea This time tomorrow
what will we know Well we still
be here watching an in-flight movie
show I'll leave the sun behind me
and watch the clouds as they
sadly pass me by Seven miles
below ma I can see the world and it
ain't so big at all This time
tomorrow what will we see Field
full of houses, endless rows of
crowded streets I don't where I'm
going, I don't want to see I feel
the world below me looking up at me
Leave the sun behind me, and
watch the clouds as they sadly pass
me by And I'm in perpetual motion
and the world below doesn't
matter much to me This time
tomorrow where will we be On a
spaceship somewhere sailing across
any empty sea This time tomorrow,
this time tomorrow

Ray Davies and Band. From the web-site: "Another
Living Legend on the Grote Kaai.
Kinks front man and one of the most
important songwriters of the last 40
years. Without him no Who, Jam,
Smiths, Oasis, Blur, Libertines,
Arctic Monkeys, etc. Will deliver a
broad anthology (more then 90
minutes) from one of the most
impressive repertoires in pop music.
Know your classics and come sing a
long!"
Ray
to Scandinavia:
4 th of July
Ray Davies played at the "BUKTA"
festival in Tromsø. The
biggest newspaper above the Arctic
Circle, "Nordlys"
(northern lights/aurora borealis)
put out a very positive review. It
say's that Ray during his concert
raised Bukta above the clouds and
that the good times hadn't
dissapeared, they are back. "This is no
longer a "good" festival,
it's an insane/crazy good festival." In october
he's back in Scandinavia, 65 years
old and with more experience than
ever.
"Pilgrim
Sisters" from Sweden
will be the warming up band. They
have used the spring to record 16
songs with Ray at KONK studios in
London . Album's on the way.
Ray
Davies in CLASSIC ROCK aug 09: “I might have to cut my
throat before any Kinks reunion.”
"I'm
going to do something with
Mick Avory and some of the
other surviving members"
August 2009
"What's the
latest on the Kinks reunion?" "Well,
I'm going to do something with Mick
Avory and some of the other
surviving members. That's a
certainty. Whether it's involving my
brother or not is really down to him.
The invitation's there. Have I heard
from Dave at all?. No, he keeps a
fairly low profile. It would be nice
to do it, but I'd only do it if
there was new music there. I
couldn't just do the reunion thing.
I moght cut my troat if I had to do
that."
